Elliptical ascent….a detailed layout of a curved staircase within the confines of a heritage home. A lot of time and consideration has gone into the design and construction process for these stairs. We’re all looking forward to seeing them take shape.

Vic West Heritage…

Waymark Architecture has redesigned the interior of this Edwardian Vernacular, Arts & Crafts heritage home for homeowners Kelly and Mitch. The design stays true to a character home of this era while incorporating modern elements to lower the building’s carbon footprint including dual heat pumps and under-slab insulation. Bernhardt Contracting has also provided metrics for the project’s carbon footprint

Built on a rubble stone foundation in 1903, a lot of consideration has gone into a strategy to excavate and gain headroom on the lower floor while maintaining the integrity and appearance of the existing stone foundation. Heritage Masonry and Whole Excavation services have helped guide us in the right direction.

This home was heritage designate in 1989.

Fall lines. 🍂

When our clients asked the designer to veer away from commonly used siding colours on modern homes, we scoffed at the idea of going with green. Thank goodness we work with good designers because they hit it out of the park with this one.
